Sue Hern is a Patent Associate of Amica Law LLC. Her work focuses on helping clients acquire patent protection for their inventions.

Sue Hern obtained a Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Biological Natural Sciences and a Master of Natural Sciences (Biochemistry) from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.  Sue Hern previously worked in a leading research institute as an intellectual property manager, where she collaborated closely with inventors and the commercial team to develop patent portfolio and filing strategies. Sue Hern also has prior work experience in the patents group of a major intellectual property firm in Singapore, where she was involved in the filing and prosecution of patent applications in a broad range of technical fields including biotechnology, chemistry and pharmaceuticals.

• Drafting patent specifications

• Filing and prosecution of patent applications locally and in other major jurisdictions
