Clinton is a Senior Associate with Amica Law LLC. He is part of the firm’s Technology and Contracts team and advises clients on a range of commercial matters.

 

Clinton previously worked as an in-house counsel at a Singapore statutory board, where he advised on contractual, regulatory, enforcement and legislative matters. 

 

Before joining Amica Law LLC, Clinton practised at a mid-size law firm, where he handled general corporate and commercial matters, with a focus on venture capital transactions. He represented start-ups across various industries and assisted on multiple investment rounds, including the drafting and review of transaction documents, related agreements and company resolutions.

 

Clinton graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from University College London and obtained a Master of Laws degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Sample matters which Clinton has been involved in include:

• Advised several start-ups on their funding rounds, including drafting and reviewing share subscription agreements, shareholders’ agreements and company resolutions.

• Advised on the sale and purchase of the entire issued and paid-up share capital of a Singapore private company, including conducting legal due diligence and drafting and reviewing transaction documents and company resolutions.

• Advised on data protection and confidentiality issues.

• Advised on, drafted and reviewed commercial agreements, including share buyback, IP licensing, research collaboration, consultancy services and IT maintenance services.

Clinton is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals. He holds a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Asia (CIPP/A) qualification.
